Southern Golf Getaways operate Piper Chieftains which are 10 seat twin engine aircraft and are one of the most popular general aviation aeroplanes in the world, absolutely ideal for golf trips between Victoria and Tasmania as they are capable of flying in most conditions.
Trips between Barwon Heads and King Island are becoming far more popular for golfers in particular due to the addition of the two world class golf courses in Ocean Dunes and Cape Wickam, King Island also has another 9-hole course on the island in Currie which is also considered an outstanding course. Along with the golf courses King Island is also notorious for its Cheese and Beef. The Cheese tasting is a must and a popular draw card on the island.
